Accomplishments

Dean’s List

This is one of my greatest accomplishments, I knew when I started university that I would do my best for my family and my future students. I always knew I was going to be an educator and I wanted to do my the best of my abilities; I worked, was a husband, father, coach and had many other hats, but I put my head down and stayed on my path. I have been on the deans list every semester of my post secondary schooling and reached one of my goals of becoming a qualified teacher. This showcases my determination and work ethic to become a well-educated individual of society.

Inspire Building Brighter Futures Award

This was an honour to receive this award from APTN; to be acknowledged for the hard work I have been putting in school, the Indigenous communities, and working toward becoming an Indigenous professional. This has allowed me to build relationships and my network in a positive way amongst our Indigenous people. This award had also reiterated why I started school and wanted to become and educator, to help out next generation to be inspired to become professional and build brighter futures for themselves. It has been a privileged to be showcased on such a huge Indigenous platform like APTN.

Hockey Awards

Throughout my hockey career I have received many awards for best defensemen, MVP, most sportsmanlike, and so much more. I believe that physical and health education is a valuable piece to everyone’s life. We must have balance and sports as well as other healthy activities have allowed me to help with my emotional, spiritual, and intellectual parts of being. I have spoken to many youths about the benefits of sports and a healthy lifestyle, and my hockey awards showcases my abilities and success within the field of hockey, health, and physical education.
